Enjoy! Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words tomatoes:
oooooo - pretty!
love the colors of these onions!
woo hoo - veggies!
Confession:
One of my favorite parts of the market is coming home and "decorating" with the fruits and vegetables we just bought. My husband has completely given up trying to avoid this happening... he knows it is coming... at the end of every market trip (see evidence below).
note: photo captures pre-market trip; don't judge :) imagine fresh sage in the vase on the right
To butter him up to the idea, I tell him I am the world's most budget friendly decorator! We buy our fresh foods for the week and enjoy their natural beauty until it is time to eat them up!
Tempted? Want to try it?
Thought so :)
Any plate/dish/bowl/vase will do depending on your fruit and veggie selection. I am a traditional white dishware lady, however, sometimes I mix it up with our lovely green and yellow, hand painted dish which traveled all the way from Italy (courtesy of beautiful gift from our family)!
Love to must match!
confession; house rule: only green and yellow fruits/veggies on this dish!
What market confessions are you holding on to? Any tricks of the trade to "double enjoy" your market goods? We are all ears! :) Please see punny photo below :)
